Prince Albert, SK – The 2019 CIBC Canada Russia Series highlights this week’s action at the Art Hauser Centre.
The annual event comes to Prince Albert for the sixth and final game of the series on Thursday night. The QMJHL and OHL have combined for a 2-1-0-1 record in the first four games, with the Russian side posting a 2-1-1-0 record.
Thursday’s game at the Art Hauser Centre will see the winner of the six-game series crowned following the game. Puck drop is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are still available at the Raiders Office and online here.
For the Prince Albert Raiders (13-4-3-0), they play a pair of games at the end of the weekend.
It was a nice break for the Raiders after coming off a week with four games in five nights, including a mid-week trip to Alberta. The Raiders finished the week with a 2-2-0-0 record, picking up wins over the Edmonton Oil Kings and Brandon Wheat Kings.
This week, the Raiders kick off their schedule on Saturday night in Regina against the Pats (2-12-2-0) at the Brandt Centre. The Raiders have won the three games played against the Pats so far this season, including a 5-2 victory in Regina on Sept. 27. The Raiders end the week with a rare Sunday-night game as the Calgary Hitmen (9-6-1-1) visit the Art Hauser Centre. Last week, the Raiders fell 4-2 to the Hitmen in Calgary at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
