Raiders Relieve Cory Clouston as Head Coach

Prince Albert, SK—  The Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League have relieved Head Coach Cory Clouston of his duties effective immediately. Clouston joined the Raiders on June 1, 2013 and was in the second year of a two year contract with the team.

Associate Coach Dave Manson will be the Interim Head Coach tonight when the Raiders play the Warriors in Moose Jaw.  The Raiders will name a permanent Head Coach shortly.

Under Clouston the Raiders had a record of 41-41-3-2 including a mark of 6-9-0-0 this season.  In 2013-14 the Raiders were 35-32-3-2 and won a WHL tie-breaker game over Red Deer under Clouston, before being swept in the first round of the playoffs by eventual Memorial Cup Champion Edmonton Oil Kings.

The Raiders return home to host the Saskatoon Blades tomorrow night at 7:00 PM at the Art Hauser Centre.
