Raiders Acquire NHL draft Warg from Seattle
Raiders Acquire Big, European D-Man Stefan Warg
Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – The Prince Albert Raiders have acquired 19 year-old import defenceman Stefan Warg (pronounced Ste-fan Var-g) from the Seattle Thunderbirds at the Western Hockey League trading deadline. In return the Raiders are sending 16 year-old defenceman Austin Frank and a 5th round selection in the 2010 Bantam Draft to the T-Birds.
Warg, 6’3”, 215 pounds, was a 5th round selection of the Anaheim Ducks in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Warg, who is from
Warg attended the NHL Training camp of the Ducks this fall and appeared in some NHL pre-season action. In the 08-09 WHL campaign, Warg was paired for most of the season with Thomas Hickey in

Warg is expected in PA late Monday.
Frank was the Raiders 5th round selection in the 2008 Bantam Draft. He is currently playing with the Calgary Buffaloes in the Alberta Major Midget Hockey League.
This is the second trade within a week between the Raiders and Thunderbirds. Wednesday the Raiders acquired forward Jonathan Parker from the T-Birds in exchange for Ryan Aasman.
