Prince Albert SK – Prince Albert Raiders centre Leon Draisaitl has been named to the BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects game on January 15th in Calgary.

The Raiders leading scorer has recorded 50 points this season, on 18 goals and 32 assists while recording a plus-5 rating. The German import has totalled 108 points in 96 career games with the Raiders.

Draisaitl is considered to be a high pick in the upcoming 2014 NHL Entry Draft, including being ranked 8th by TSN analyst Craig Button and 7th by International Scouting Services. He will depart the team tomorrow to represent his home nation at the 2014 World Junior Hockey Championships.

The 6’1”, 208-pound centre will follow in the footsteps of current teammates Josh Morrissey and Mike Winther who participated in the showcase game in 2013 and 2012, respectively. Draisaitl will skate on Team Orr, which will be coached by NHL legends Lanny McDonald and Mike Vernon.
