conexus credit union logo_blueThe Prince Albert Raiders have partnered with Conexus Credit Union to promote Financial Literacy in local schools.

Players and representatives from Conexus visit one Grade 5 or 6 class at a time to teach students the value of saving money and creating financial goals. The players and Conexus employees work through a presentation that includes games and prizes for the students. Also, students from each class are entered into a draw for a $1,000 RESP that will be awarded at the end of the season.

We have partnered with Parkland Ambulance to visit your classroom and speak about the dangers of concussions and what you can do to prevent them. The presentation includes:

  • What is a concussion?
  • Signs and symptoms
  • Wearing the proper gear

With Parkland Ambulance’s help, we’ll also give some basic first aid tips, such as using an AED, CPR, controlling bleeding, and what to do if someone is choking. For more information from the Sport Medicine and Science Council of Saskatchewan, click here.

Frank Dunn Toyota Future Raiders

Since its inception in 2009-10, the Frank Dunn Toyota Future Raiders initiative has brought Raider players to Novice-level hockey practices across Prince Albert and surrounding areas. The Raider players work with kids aged seven and eight by helping with drills, instructing the team and working with them to develop skills during one of the team’s scheduled practices.

The players also sign autographs and bring mini-sticks for the entire team courtesy of Frank Dunn Toyota.
