Raiders sign two more players to WHL Standard Player Agreements

The Prince Albert Raiders are proud to announce the signings of 2007-born forwards Dayce Derkatch and Ethan Bibeau to WHL Standard Player Agreements.

Derkatch, who was selected in the third round (64th overall) of the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft, is the son of Regina Pats great Dale Derkatch, who finished his WHL career as one of the all-time leading scorers in league history.

Dayce made his second WHL preseason appearance on Saturday night in his hometown of Regina, which quickly became a night to remember for the 15-year-old. With 1:37 remaining in a 2-2 tie with the Pats, Derkatch netted the game winning goal on a rebound chance in front of the net, securing a 3-2 win for the Raiders.

Meanwhile Bibeau, a Winnipeg, MB product, made his WHL preseason debut on Saturday in Regina. While he was held scoreless in the contest, the 15-year-old finished the night with a +1 rating. Bibeau was taken in the sixth round (120th overall) of the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft, and spent the 2021-22 season with the Rink Hockey Academy U15 program in Winnipeg, scoring 36 points in 30 games.
