Raiders, Great Western Begin Partnership

Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders and Great Western Brewing Company Ltd. are pleased to announce a new five-year exclusive partnership.

As part of the agreement, Great Western Brewing Company will become the exclusive beer supplier for the Prince Albert Raiders.

“The love of hockey runs deep in Prince Albert and across Saskatchewan. Our new partnership with the Raiders means we’ll be there every step of the way to celebrate with fans. As sponsors of Junior Hockey teams across the province, we’re proud to play a bigger and bigger role in hockey, and in the community it represents,” said Great Western Brewing Company CEO Michael Brennan.

In working with 100-percent Saskatchewan-made Great Western, the Raiders continue to focus on building relationships with local businesses.

“We are incredibly excited about this partnership with the Great Western Brewing Company. Throughout our discussions with Great Western, they repeatedly expressed their interest in, first and foremost, growing the Raiders and connecting with the community,” said Raiders Business Manager Michael Scissons.

“The commitment, dedication, and passion demonstrated by Great Western to grow into one of Canada’s most successful regional brewers are the same attributes they have committed to helping our organization succeed throughout this partnership. We look forward to working with this incredibly proud Saskatchewan-based company for the next five years.”

Great Western Brewing Company’s roots date back to 1927 in Saskatoon, operating as then as the Hub City Brewing Company. In 1956, the Brewery was acquired and operated as O’Keefe Brewing until 1989 when an amalgamation ended the run.

Then, a group of 16 employees pooled their resources and formed the Great Western Brewing Company. Now, they are one of Canada’s most successful regional brewers and an internationally recognized producer of world-class beer.

Prince Albert Raiders season tickets for the 2018-19 campaign are available for purchase. Visit the Raider Office or call 306-764-5348 for more information.
