Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders have added a new position to their Hockey Operations department.
Mark Maloney has joined the Raiders as the Senior Advisor of Player Development and Analytics, the team announced today.
Maloney will work alongside of Raiders General Manager Curtis Hunt and Director of Player Personnel Ron Gunville with the team’s prospects, as well as supporting the coaching staff with analytics. He and his team of Global Sport Academy team of specialists will support and assist in the growth and development of Prince Albert Raiders prospects.
“Mark is a global leader in youth sports and actively influences the paradigm shift that is happening around the world,” said Hunt. “His entrepreneurial vision and execution have enabled him to found and build companies such as Global Sport Academy Group and TheDrillBook.”
The Global Sport Academy Group has six schools in Calgary, Okotoks and Airdrie. TheDrillBook is a state of the art coaching technology platform for hockey, baseball, and soccer.
Maloney is a former Calder Cup champion, winning the title as a Skill and Player Development Coach in 2014 with the Texas Stars, the Dallas Stars’ AHL affiliate. As an associate coach, he guided the SAIT Trojans to an ACAC championship.
He has worked as a coach mentor and sports association architect in Canada, the United States and China. He also is an international hockey consultant and leadership speaker, author, and presenter to groups such as the NHL Coaches Association and the Saskatchewan Hockey Association Provincial High Performance Coaching Symposium.

The Raiders Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 23 at 7 p.m. in the Ches Leach Lounge. Only members are eligible to attend.
