RAIDER REVIEW: The Prince Albert Raiders (6-20-1-0) hit the road tonight to take on the Regina Pats at the Brandt Centre. Last night, the Raiders snapped a nine-game losing streak this season in a 5-3 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors at the Art Hauser Centre. After Brandon Armstrong scored, Cavin Leth tied the game to make it 1-1 after the first. In the second, Simon Stransky found the back of the net to give the Raiders a 2-1 advantage after 40 minutes. Austin Glover put the Raiders up 3-1 early in the third before Max Martin scored an empty-net, shorthanded goal from his own goal line. Moose Jaw mounted a comeback as Nikita Popugaev and Jayden Halbgewachs scored in the final two minutes, but Stransky added the Raiders’ second empty-net goal of the night to make the final 5-3. Ian Scott made 31 saves to pick up the win for the Raiders.
VS. REGINA: This is the third of eight meetings between the Raiders and the Pats this season. The teams split a home-and-home series on the first weekend of the regular season. Both teams won their respective games on the road.

HARDEST WORKER: Zack Hayes was named the Raiders’ Century 21 Hardest Working Player of the Month for November. The 17-year-old rookie from Calgary is one of six players to dress in all 27 games played by the Raiders this season.
STREAKS SNAPPED: It was more than the Raiders’ losing streak that ended on Friday night. With two goals, Simon Stransky ended his seven-game goalless streak. Also, Austin Glover ended his eight-game goalless skid with a third-period marker. The Raiders also ended their six-game losing streak against the Warriors.
DIFFICULT TASK: Teams across the WHL have had trouble getting points in Regina this season. The Pats have not lost in regulation at home this season, winning nine of their 12 games. However, the Raiders are one of the three teams to knock off the Pats in the Brandt Centre in overtime this season, along with the Kootenay ICE and Portland Winterhawks.
NEXT UP: The Raiders return to the Art Hauser Centre for a short two-game home stand next week, beginning on Tuesday when they host the Jake Bean and the Calgary Hitmen. On Friday, December 9, it’s Teddy Bear Toss Night against the Moose Jaw Warriors. Both games begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are available here, at the Raider Office or by calling 306-764-5348.
