LOSING SKID: The Raiders are looking to snap a four game losing streak in Saskatoon tonight. The good news is the last time the Raiders played in Saskatoon, they came away with a 6-5 win in overtime, thanks to an overtime winning goal courtesy of Sloan Stanick.
THE LATEST TO 200: Speaking of Stanick, the 19-year-old forward is celebrating his 200th career WHL game tonight. The Rapid City, MB product is enjoying his second season with Prince Albert with 53 points (22G-31A) in 60 games. Stanick spent time with the Regina Pats before being acquired by the Raiders via trade in the 2021-22 regular season.
THE PLAYOFF PICTURE: While it’s still mathematically possible, it will take a lot of wins and a lot of help for the Raiders to make it to the postseason. Currently seven points behind the eighth place Swift Current Broncos, the team will need to get a win tonight to stick around in the conversation. With four of their remaining seven games coming against the Blades and Winnipeg ICE, it will take a lot of determination and upsets to squeak into a playoff spot. The Raiders take on the ICE on Tuesday night at home in their second last home game of the season.
