Allan On To Semifinals at U18 World Championships

Prince Albert, SK – Defenceman Nolan Allan and Team Canada advanced to the semifinals of the 2021 IIHF U18 World Championships on Monday afternoon following a 10-3 win over Czech Republic.

Allan was held off the scoresheet in Canada’s win.

Canada will take on Sweden in their semifinal on Wednesday afternoon.  In their first action at the tournament, Team Canada cruised to a 12-1 win over Sweden in round-robin play. Puck drop for the semifinal is set for 3 p.m. CST and can be watched on TSN.

Uladzislau Shyla and Belarus’ run at the tournament came to an end on Monday as they fell 5-2 in their quarter-final matchup with Russia. In five games at the tournament, Shyla had three assists and registered four penalty minutes.
