RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (7-9-2-1) close out the season series with the Moose Jaw Warriors (7-11-1-0) tonight in the Subway Hub Centre. Last night against the Pats, the Raiders fell 4-3 in a physical contest to snap their three-game winning streak. Tyson Laventure scored a pair of goals for the Raiders, while Tre Fouquette chipped in a goal and an assist. Max Paddock made 28 saves in the loss for the Raiders.

SCORING A PAIR: Tyson Laventure continued his success against the Regina Pats this season with two goals in Sunday’s game. It was the first multi-goal game of Laventure’s WHL career. Also, his first goal of the evening was also the Lloydminster, AB product’s first power-play goal of his career. Laventure finished the season series against the Pats with four goals and three assists, accounting for all of his points to date in the Subway Hub Centre.

ON THE BOARD: Rookie defenceman Tre Fouquette picked up his first two WHL points on Sunday against the Pats. He recorded the primary assist on Tyson Laventure’s first goal, then scored a goal of his own later in the second period to put up the first multi-point game of his WHL career in just his second outing.

DISHING: Ozzy Wiesblatt had an assist in Sunday’s game against the Pats to increase his team-leading total to 17 on the season. The San Jose Sharks prospect has assists in seven of his last eight games, recording 10 assists over that span. The Calgary product also has four goals for a team-high 21 points in the Hub Centre.

STREAK SNAPPED: Remy Aquilon saw his four-game assist streak come to an end on Sunday night. Over that span, the Kelowna, BC product dished out six assists. Aquilon leads the Raiders’ defence core with 13 points in 19 games.

MOVING UP: Spencer Moe moved into a tie for sixth in Raiders history for games played with 281. He tied Jeff May, who played in parts of six seasons from 2002 to 2008.
