Welcome to Volume 1 of Flashback Friday Presented By Farm World! In this week’s post, we take a look at three pieces of Raider memorabilia submitted by our fans. Let’s take a look.
Our first piece was submitted by Brian Nemish of Prince Albert. He sent in a hat from the 1984-85 season.
“I got this hat quite a while ago from my father-in-law Larry Lafleur, who will forever be a Raider fan even after moving to Saskatoon,” said Brian. “The 80’s were incredible times for the RAiders, and winning the Memorial Cup was amzing for the fans and the City of Prince Albert.”
Up next is this jacket and lapel pin sent in by Deni Waithman from Saskatoon.
“These would be around 1983 to 1985,” said Deni. “I probably started going ot the games when I was 10 and became a huge fan! My parents probably bought me the items from the Raider Store. All of my Raiders memorabilia means a great deal to me.”
The final piece of memorabilia this week comes from Prince Albert’s Jordan Bird. He sent in some of his signed hockey cards.
“I got these in Prince Albert when I went to a hockey game with my grandma and friends,” Jordan said. “A few of the Raiders were signing cards after the game and I really waned some. It was lucky day in 2007-08! I’m really happy I kept them in such good shape.”
That’s all for the first week of Flashback Friday Presented By Farm World! You can continue to send in your favourite pieces of Raider memorabilia to be featured in future posts. Fill out the form here.
