Raiders Select Kechkin In CHL Import Draft

Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders are proud to select 2002-born forward Ivan Kechkin with the 60th overall pick of the 2019 CHL Import Draft.

Kechkin, a Russian-born left-shot forward, is listed at 5’7 and 143 lbs.

He split his season between the Moscow U17 and U18 teams in their respective Russian leagues. In 38 combined games, Kechkin had 12 goals and 21 assists. Of those points, six goals and 12 assists came in 15 games with the U18 team.

“Ivan has good vision, a high skill level, and skates well,” said Raiders General Manager Curtis Hunt. “His coach is the father of Denis Tolpeko, who played for me in Regina.”
