RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (20-8-3-1) close out their schedule before the holiday break this afternoon in Saskatoon against the Blades (14-15-1-2) at SaskTel Centre. Last night at the Art Hauser Centre, the Raiders were doubled up 4-2 by the Kamloops Blazers. Brayden Watts and Evan Herman scored the Raiders’ goals. Carter Serhyenko stopped 28 shots in the loss.

STREAK SNAPPED: Ozzy Wiesblatt had his six-game point streak snapped on Saturday night against the Blazers. The streak, which saw him post four goals and six assists, was the longest of his career. The 2020 NHL Draft prospect is second in team scoring with 14 goals and 24 assists in 32 games.

CAREER BEST: With an assist in Saturday’s loss to the Blazers, Spencer Moe tied his career high for points in a season with 33. This year, the Calgary, AB product has 14 goals and 19 assists in 32 games. Last year, Moe needed 66 games to record his 33 points.

SENDING THE FUR FLYING: Brayden Watts scored the Raiders’ Teddy Bear Toss goal on Saturday night against the Blazers. He was the fifth consecutive Raiders’ overager to score the Teddy Bear Toss goal.

ROOKIE GOALS: Evan Herman tied Ilya Usau for the team lead among rookie goal scorers with his seventh marker of the season on Saturday. He’s also tied for fourth on the game in goal scoring with Usau and Kaiden Guhle. Herman has nine assists as well to give him 16 points in 29 games played.

BACK TO BACK: Goaltender Carter Serhyenko made consecutive starts for the first time his WHL career this weekend. He has also seen action in the Raiders’ past four games. The Saskatoon product has had a great start to his rookie season, posting 5-4-0-0 record, a 1.99 goals-against average and a 0.928 save percentage. Serhyenko signed with the Raiders following training camp.
