Leavitt Machinery Preview – Game 18 vs. Swift Current


RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (16-1-0-0) welcome the Swift Current Broncos (3-14-0-1) to the Art Hauser Centre tonight for the team’s Remembrance Day Game. In their last outing, the Raiders knocked off the Kootenay ICE 7-2 on Friday, November 2. Brett Leason led the way with another multi-point performance, registering two goals and two assists. It was his 10th consecutive multi-point performance. Aliaksei Protas had three assists on the night and Justin Nachbaur chipped in a pair of helpers. Spencer Moe, Noah Gregor, Carson Miller, Sean Montgomery, and Parker Kelly also scored for the Raiders. Ian Scott made 17 saves for his 14th win of the year.

VS. SWIFT CURRENT: This is the first time the Raiders and Broncos have met this season. Last season, the Raiders finished with a 2-4-1-1 record against the Broncos. In the last meeting, the Raiders erased an early deficit to come from behind and win 5-4 in a shootout.

 BACK AT HOME: Spencer Moe recorded his third goal of the season last Friday against Kootenay. It was his first regular season goal at home since February 7, 2018 against the ICE, breaking a streak of 16 regular season home games. This season, Moe has three goals and six assists for nine points.

ROOKIE SCORING: Belarusian rookie Aliaksei Protas picked up his first three-point night last Friday when he recorded three assists in the contest. Protas now has four goals and 13 assists on the season, which places him first in rookie scoring. He has a two-point lead on Seattle’s Andrej Kukuca.

SAPEGO KEEPS STREAKING: After missing three games, Sergei Sapego picked up right where he left off when he returned to the lineup on Friday. The Belarusian blueliner recorded an assist on Friday, extending his streak to four games. Over that span, Sapego has a goal and four assists.

NEXT UP: The Raiders are back at home on Wednesday night when the Medicine Hat Tigers (9-7-0-2) make their final trip to the Art Hauser Centre. Puck drop is 7 p.m. Tickets are available at and the Raider Office.
