Prince Albert, SK – Jordy Stallard scored his first career WHL hat trick to lift the Prince Albert Raiders (7-5-3-0) to a 5-1 win over the Swift Current Broncos (10-3-1-0) on Friday night at the Art Hauser Centre.
The Winnipeg Jets prospect now leads the team with 12 goals and 27 points.
The Raiders got a great start with two goals in the first five minutes. Justin Nachbaur scored his first career WHL goal 3:57 into the game. He trailed the play and was set up with a pass in the slot by Brett Leason and made no mistake beating Logan Flodell.

About a minute later, Stallard got his first of the night when he tucked it into the Swift Current goal. Before the end of the frame, Stallard scored his second of the game on a beautiful cross-ice pass from Cole Fonstad to put the Raiders ahead 3-0 after one period.
In the second, Stallard completed his hat trick with the second power-play goal of the game past a diving Flodell. The Broncos broke Ian Scott’s shutout attempt when Aleksi Heponiemi found the back of the net on a power play with 5:19 remaining in the frame. Before the end of the second, Sean Montgomery redirected Brayden Pachal’s point shot past Flodell to make it a 5-1 game after 40 minutes.
That score held through the third period thanks to Scott’s nine saves in the frame. He finished the game with 30 saves for his fourth consecutive win. Flodell took the loss for the Broncos, stopping 21 shots. Joel Hofer turned aside all 12 shots faced in relief in the third period for Swift Current.
The Raiders are back in action again on Saturday night when the Moose Jaw Warriors (12-4-0-0) visit the Art Hauser Centre in a rematch of Thursday’s contest. It’s also the last Raiders’ home game until November 24. Tickets are available at raiderhockey.com, the Raider Office, or by calling 306-764-5348.
