Raiders Win Draft Lottery

Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders are now on the clock.

On Wednesday, the Raiders won the WHL Bantam Draft Lottery at a draw in Calgary, giving the Raiders the first overall pick in this May’s WHL Bantam Draft.

The WHL Bantam Draft Lottery involved the six non-playoff teams from the 2016-17 season. A team was only eligible to move up a maximum of two positions in the draft. Entering the lottery, the Raiders held the third overall pick.

The order of the second round and all subsequent rounds of the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft will be the inverse order of the final regular season standings. The 2017 WHL Bantam Draft will be held in Calgary on Thursday, May 4.

Season tickets for the 2017-18 season are now available at early bird pricing for a limited time. For more information, visit the Raider Office or call 306-764-5348 during office hours from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Also, the Seventh Annual Warren Harper Father-Daughter Memorial Gala will be held on Friday, March 31 in the Ches Leach Lounge. Tickets are $135 for each Father-Daughter pair, and $67.50 for each additional ticket. To purchase tickets, visit the Raider Office during business hours from Monday to Friday.
