Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders are pleased to announce a partnership with Saskatchewan-based clothing company Neechie Gear to carry Raiders-themed products in the Source For Sports Team Store at the Raider Office in the Art Hauser Centre.
The clothing was specially designed for the Raiders by the team at Neechie Gear.
“We are happy to partner with a business founded in Saskatchewan that is dedicated to making a positive impact across the province,” said Raiders Business Manager Michael Scissons.
Neechie Gear was founded by Kendal Netmaker, who grew up on Sweetgrass First Nation. His clothing company is committed to giving a portion of proceeds to help underprivileged kids play sports. The company has previously worked with and donated to the northern fire evacuees, Keyano College Volleyball Club and Team Saskatchewan’s entrant to the
Neechie is derived from the Cree word nichewakan, which translates to my partner or my friend.
Through this partnership, Neechie Gear will be donation a portion of the proceeds from the clothing sold to KidSport Prince Albert. The Raiders will also match that donation.
The Raiders will be carrying an adult hoodie, as well an adult and youth t-shirt. They will go on sale at Friday’s game against the Kootenay ICE. The clothing will be available online early next week at raider-store.com.
