Raiders Acquire Kadlec From Cougars

Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders completed a trade with the Prince George Cougars on Tuesday morning.

The Raiders acquired 1999-born centre Adam Kadlec from the Cougars in exchange for 1999-born winger Josh Maser and a sixth-round pick in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.

Kadlec, from Edina, Minn., was drafted by the Cougars in the 10th round of the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft. Listed at 6’3”, 188 pounds, he has dressed in 10 games with the Cougars over the past two seasons. Kadlec is also a dual citizen of Canada and the United States.

Maser was a fourth-round pick of the Raiders in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft. He played in one game with the team during the 2015-16 season.

In other roster news, the Raiders have re-assigned goaltender Curtis Meger to the SJHL’s Estevan Bruins.

The Raiders hit the road this weekend for a three-game road trip through Alberta, beginning in Edmonton against the Oil Kings on Friday Night in the new Rogers Place. On Saturday, the Raiders are in Red Deer to take on the Rebels. Both games start at 7 p.m. The road trip ends in Calgary on Sunday as the Raiders tangle with the Hitmen. Game time is 4 p.m.
