RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (15-19-6-2) close out the weekend with a visit from the Moose Jaw Warriors (35-6-1-2) on Saturday night at the Art Hauser Centre. Last night, the Raiders were blanked 4-0 by the Swift Current Broncos. Glenn Gawdin had a pair of goals for the Broncos, while Kade Elder and Colby Sissons were the other Swift Current scorers. Ian Scott got the call between the pipes, stopping 21 shots in a losing effort. Stuart Skinner made 29 saves for the shutout.

VS. MOOSE JAW: This is the sixth of eight meetings between the Raiders and the Warriors this season. The Raiders won the last meeting between the two clubs in a shootout by a 3-2 score in Moose Jaw. Curtis Meger made 31 saves in the win, while Jordy Stallard and Eric Pearce scored in regulation. Stallard was also the only player to score in the shootout to lift the Raiders to the win.

PLAYING FOR TEAM ORR: Winger Cole Fonstad found out he will suit up for Team Orr in the Sherwin Williams CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game later this month in Guelph, ON. The Estevan product was one of 40 draft-eligible players from across the CHL to be selected for the game. In his draft season, Fonstad has 12 goals and 33 assists in 42 games played. The Top Prospects Game will be played on Thursday, January 25.

FIRING AWAY: Jordy Stallard increased his team lead in shots on Friday night when he fired seven at Broncos goaltender Stuart Skinner. The Winnipeg Jets prospect has 146 shots on the season, which is 13 ahead of Kody McDonald’s 133 split between the Raiders and the Cougars. Parker Kelly is the next closest Raider that was on the Opening Night roster with 122 shots this season.
