Leavitt Machinery Preview – Game 42 vs. Swift Current

RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (15-18-6-2) open a double header weekend at the Art Hauser Centre tonight against the Swift Current Broncos (29-10-3-0). In their last game, the Raiders were downed 4-1 by the Regina Pats at the Brandt Centre. The Pats jumped out to a 1-0 lead early in the first period. That score held until the third period when Regina added three more goals, including an empty netter. Parker Kelly scored the Raiders’ lone goal on a two-man advantage late in the third period to break the shutout.

VS. SWIFT CURRENT: This is the fifth meeting of the year between the Raiders and the Broncos. The Raiders have earned three of a possible four points from the Broncos at the Art Hauser Centre this season.

HEATING UP: After a brief cold spell after the holiday break, Jordy Stallard is heating up again. The overage centreman has two goals and five assists over his current five-game point streak.

ROSTER NEWS: The Raiders were quiet on WHL Trade Deadline Day, but added one final piece earlier in the week when they acquired 2000-born defenceman Konrad Belcourt from the Kelowna Rockets. Belcourt, a product of Sherwood Park, AB, played in 20 games with Rockets and had a goal and two assists. He will wear No. 7 for the Raiders.

NEXT UP: The Raiders are back at home tomorrow night against the East Division-leading Moose Jaw Warriors (34-6-1-2). Puck drop is 7 p.m. Tickets are available at, the Raider Office, or by calling 306-764-5348.
