RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (10-10-3-1) begin a Central Division road trip tonight in Cranbrook against the Kootenay ICE (11-14-1-0). The Raiders are coming off of a 3-2 shootout win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday night. Jordy Stallard and Eric Pearce scored three minutes apart early in the second period. Stallard also scored the lone Raiders’ goal in the shootout. Curtis Meger made 31 saves through regulation and overtime, and stopped all three Moose Jaw shooters for the win.

VS. KOOTENAY: This is the second meeting of the year between the Raiders and the ICE. Last time, the Raiders downed the ICE 5-3 on Friday, Nov. 10 to open their six-game road trip.

BACK IN THE WIN COLUMN: Goaltender Curtis Meger picked up his first win since October 7 on Saturday night. Meger opened the year with three wins in his first four appearances. The Regina netminder was winless in his previous six starts before Saturday night. Meger is now 4-4-2 on the year with a 3.70 GAA and a 0.881 SV% this year.

BUDIK’S 150: Defenceman Vojtech Budik played in his 150th career WHL game on Saturday night. The Buffalo Sabres draft pick has five goals and 42 assists in his WHL career, including a goal and four assists this season.

DOUBLE DIGITS: The Raiders picked up their 10th win of the season on Saturday night against Moose Jaw. Last season the Raiders didn’t register their 10th victory until Jan. 21, which was the 49th game of the season.

ROSTER NEWS: The Raiders signed ’98-born forward George King on Monday. The Calgary, AB product had five goals in 18 games with the Regina Pats this season. Last year, King had 36 goals and 18 assists with the OCN Blizzard of the MJHL, alongside rookie Justin Nachbaur.

NEXT UP: The Raiders continue their Central Division road trip on Friday night in Calgary against the Hitmen (7-14-3-1). Game time is 8 p.m.  at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
