RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (5-4-3-0) host the Brandon Wheat Kings (9-3-0-1) on Pink In The Rink Night at the Art Hauser Centre. In their last outing, the Raiders edged the Victoria Royals 4-3 at home on Wednesday night. Max Martin scored the game-winning goal midway through the third period. Cole Fonstad (1g) and Jordy Stallard (1g-1a) both extended their point streaks in the game. Devon Skoleski chipped in offensively with a goal and an assist. Ian Scott recorded the win in goal by stopping 20 shots on the evening.

VS. BRANDON: This is the third meeting of the year between the Raiders and the Wheat Kings. Earlier this month, the Raiders played back-to-back games in Brandon. The Raiders dropped both of those games, but earned a point in a 6-5 overtime loss on Sunday, October 15.

CAPTAIN’S MILESTONE: Captain Curtis Miske’s next game will be his 200th in the Western Hockey League. The Raiders traded for the Beaumont, AB product last season. In his 199 career games, Miske has 40 goals and 56 assists. Since joining the Raiders, Miske has recorded 18 goals and 20 assists in 45 games.
ROSTER NEWS: The Prince Albert Raiders acquired ’99-born centre Brett Leason from the Tri-City Americans late on Wednesday night. Leason, a Calgary, AB product, has 19 points in 81 career WHL games. He was also named the Americans’ Rookie of the Year last season. The Raiders also re-assigned goaltender Nicholas Sanders and forward Brock Sottile to the Junior A level.
NEXT UP: The Raiders open a three-games-in-three-nights stretch on Thursday, November 2 when they travel to Moose Jaw to take on the Warriors (10-4-0-0). Puck drop is 7 p.m. The next Raiders’ home game is on Friday, November 3 against the Swift Current Broncos (9-1-1-0). Then, the Raiders host the Warriors on Saturday, November 4.
