Johnny Bower Banner To Be Delivered To Art Hauser Centre

Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders will be hosting a special pre-game ceremony on Friday night when the Brandon Wheat Kings visit the Art Hauser Centre.

On Friday, the Toronto Maple Leafs will deliver the banner that hung at Air Canada Centre honouring Johnny Bower to his hometown of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan as part of the Maple Leafs Centennial Season celebrations. Toronto Maple Leafs Alumnus and teammate on the 1967 Stanley Cup Champion Maple Leafs, Ron Ellis will attend the banner ceremony on behalf of Bower.

On the NHL’s Opening Night, the Maple Leafs unveiled new banners that now hang in Air Canada Centre and pay tribute to the players that have had their numbers retired. Beginning this past August, and lasting throughout the season, the 18 original Air Canada Centre banners will be delivered to the hometowns that produced the greatest players in franchise history. The Bower banner is the tenth to be delivered as part of the banner tour.
