RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (32-2-0-1) and the Saskatoon Blades (21-10-5-0) close out their home-and-home series tonight at the Art Hauser Centre. Last night in Saskatoon, Brayden Pachal scored 33 seconds into overtime to lift the Raiders to a 4-3 win over the Blades in extra time. It was the Raiders captain’s second goal of the night. Noah Gregor had a three-point night with two goals and an assist. Cole Fonstad also had a three-point night with three assists. Kaiden Guhle and Ozzy Wiesblatt chipped in two assists each. Donovan Buskey made 23 saves for his eighth win of the season.

VS. SASKATOON: This is the fifth time the Raiders and Blades have played this season. The Raiders took down the Blades 4-1 in the last contest between the clubs at the Art Hauser Centre.

WORLD JUNIORS WATCH: Ian Scott made 15 saves to backstop Team Canada to a 3-2 win over Switzerland on Thursday night at the 2019 World Junior Hockey Championship in Vancouver. Brett Leason was held off the scoresheet. Leason, Scott, and Team Canada are back in action on Saturday night against the Czech Republic.

CAPTAIN CLUTCH: In his return from suspension, Brayden Pachal scored the game-tying and game-winning goals on Thursday night in Saskatoon for his eighth and ninth goals. Five of the Raider captain’s nine goals this year have been game winners. It was also Pachal’s fourth overtime goal of his career.

GREGOR’S GOALS: With a pair of goals on Thursday, Noah Gregor has three multi-goal efforts in the past four games. Over that span, the San Jose Sharks prospect has seven goals and three assists. His 46 points (21 goals, 25 assists) in 30 games this season has the Beaumont, AB product 10th in league scoring.

FONSTAD FEELING IT: Montreal Canadiens prospect Cole Fonstad has had quite the four-game stretch. The Estevan product has a goal and nine assists over those games, bringing his season total to 11 goals and 22 assists in 35 games.
